Prakasha is a pilgrimage site located on the banks of the Tapi River in Shahada taluka of Nandurbar district. It is also known as Dakshin Kashi. As much importance is given to North Kashi , so is the importance given to South Kashi .

Ashtambha is a religious place in Nandurbar region and is located in Akrani tehsil. The Ashtambaya festival here is considered one of the most important fairs of the tribals of South Gujarat and North-West Maharashtra. During the festival of Diwali , the fair lasts for 10 to 15 days . Ashtamba is considered one of the mythological characters in the Hindu epic Mahabharata. According to the tribals , he is the son of a male character named Ashwathama and Guru Dronacharya .
