    Introduction
    A total of 06 talukas, Nandurbar, Navapur, Shahada, Taloda, Akkalkuwa, Dhadgaon, come under Zilla Parishad Nandurbar. There are a total of 378 secondary and higher secondary schools in Nandurbar district, of which 221 are private Aided management, Private Partially Aided management 106, Private Unaided management 12, Municipal council management 02, Military School 01, Navoday Vidyalaya 02, International School 01 and There are 32 secondary and higher secondary schools operating on a self-financing basis.
    The Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Educat ion Act 2009 is effectively implemented with 100% student enrolment. Regular school visits and supervision are done through supervisory system to enhance student attendance. A special search campaign is conducted every year to find out-of-school students and if such students are found, they are admitted in age-appropriate classes. According to the RTE Act 2009 the recognition of the school is enhanced every 3 years as per the availability of physical facilities to secondary schools. Students are regularly given the benefit of various beneficiary schemes of the government. Government schemes are effectively implemented.

    Vision and Mission

    Establishment Matters: – Supervision of the establishment is carried out under the supervision of the Education Officer and Deputy Education Officer. Various schemes regarding schools are implemented by the government through this office.

    Accounting Matters: – Submitter to education officer (Secondary) for final approval through senior clerk, Deputy Education officer. There are various posts in education department:- A total of 05 posts have been approved: Education Officer, Deputy Education Officer, Subject Specialist, Assistant Education Sub-Inspector and Senior Clerk.

    OBJECTIVES AND FUNCTIONS
    It is the responsibility of the concerned office staff to receive and submit school level information/ reports and maintain the records in their possession up to date.

    1. Effective implementation of Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act 2009.
    2. Enrollment of 100% students in the age group of 11 to 18 years
    3. Increasing student attendance to 95 percent
    4. To effectively implement various government schemes related to the Department of Education (Secondary).
    5. Various Student Benefit Schemes Student Benefit Schemes under Human Development Program Ahilyabai Holkar Free Pass Scheme Benefit 2 to 5 KM from school. I. Free bicycle scheme for students of class 8th to 12th commuting from distance e. Plan
    6. To motivate schools to organize and plan various activities at the school level to bring about holistic quality development of students.
    7. Conducting and guiding principal/teacher brainstorming sessions
    8. Finding out-of-school children and enrolling them in age-appropriate schools to bring them into the stream of education.
