Introduction
On 1 July 1998, Dhule district was bifurcated and Nandurbar district was newly formed. The district headquarters is Nandurbar. Nandurbar Along with the formation of the district, the Zilla Parishad came into existence in Nandurbar
Six tehsils: Akkalkuwa , Dhadgaon , Taloda , Shahada , Nandurbar and Navapur According to the Zilla Parishad, six Panchayat Samiti are functioning at the Tehsil Headquarters.
The main area of operation of Nandurbar Zilla Parishad is tribal-dominated rural areas. The work of uplifting the lives of the people in rural areas and providing health and basic facilities under the auspices of the Rural Development Department – Maharashtra State is continuing continuously with the cooperation of the People’s Representatives.
